A new, family-owned brick-oven pizzeria has opened in Bergen County.
Located in Dumont, Da Mimmo is run by the Gigante brothers, who have made a name for themselves as TikTok influencers, and features pizza from a wood-burning oven, as well traditional Italian fare, such as fresh mozzarella and pastries made on site.

The brothers (Vincent, Antonio and Vito) began welcoming customers Nov. 22 and plan to host a grand opening Dec. 4 from 1 to 3 p.m. with food, music and giveaways. As part of the celebration, customers will receive 15% off their bill, starting at 4 p.m. and a coupon for future use if they bring a new, unwrapped toy for charity.
“We are excited to show Dumont our family favs and hope to offer a modern twist on old school Italian cuisine in our brand new space,” said Vincent Gigante, who is known on TikTok as a boxer.
According to the brothers, the restaurant is inspired by their late, great uncle, Dominic Rizzi, who was a chef for many years at Casa Dante in Jersey City, as well as the Valley Regency in Montclair. Rizzi died in 2016 following a long battle with cancer.

The Gigantes’ parents, Vito and Melissa, as well as Robert Paradiso, a family friend and owner of Paradiso Deli in Moonachie, will also help out at Da Mimmo.
Additionally, the brothers said they’ll make community outreach a priority by hosting events to support local organizations schools.
Vincent Gigante explained, “It is important for us to invest in the community we serve. We look forward to creating an environment where people feel like they are home.”
Da Mimmo is located at 132 Veterans Plaza and will be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and 4 to 10 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
