Regional restaurant chain Tommy’s Tavern & Tap is adding a second outpost in Morris County.

After signing a lease agreement for a 9,160-square-foot space at Ledgewood Commons in Ledgewood, the Jersey Shore-born concept expects to open soon, according to the shopping center’s owner, Urban Edge Properties.

Founded a decade ago in Sea Bright by husband-wife team Tommy and Yvette Bonfiglio, Tommy’s Tavern & Tap’s award-winning menu features specialty wings, burgers, coal-fired pizza, sushi, salads and sandwiches. The full-service eatery also has an extensive craft beer menu, whiskey offerings and specialty cocktails.

The family-owned chain now has 13 locations open across three states. Within New Jersey, it can be found in Sea Bright, Freehold, Clifton, Bridgewater, Edison, Princeton, Morris Plains, Mount Laurel, Cherry Hill, Edgewater and Sea Girt.

Tommy’s Tavern & Tap recently announced plans to open a 6,298-square-foot restaurant this summer in Wayne at Wayne Towne Center.

In Ledgewood, the lease marks the first signed for the 448,000-square-foot property since Urban Edge acquired it for $83 million in May 2024.

Located at the junction of Routes 46 and 10, the recently redeveloped shopping center’s lineup also includes Ulta, DSW, Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, Five Guys, Burlington, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Marshalls, Old Navy, Wendy’s, Five Below, Panda Express, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen and Walmart.

Urban Edge Director of Leasing Ronnie Bertrand commented, “Ledgewood Commons has a high-demand tenant mix and we’re confident that our shoppers and the greater community will embrace the addition of regional operator Tommy’s Tavern. Additionally, the restaurant has a loyal regional following and we know they will draw new visitors to the center.”
