An immersive and interactive museum experience specifically designed to trigger the happiness hormone dopamine is coming to New Jersey.
Scheduled to open March 15 at Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus, Dopamine Land aims to engage visitors of all ages with a combination of media, technology and play. The multisensory exhibit features colorful installations, vibrant soundscapes, optical illusions and activities across a range of themed rooms.
Initially launched three years ago in London by New York-based live-entertainment discovery platform Fever, Dopamine Land has also had installations in Madrid, Brisbane and Washington, D.C.
Fever also operates several other experience-based museums in the area, including Bubble Planet at American Dream in East Rutherford and Squid Game: The Experience at Manhattan Mall in New York City.
Dopamine Land will run for three months in Paramus. Tickets start at $17 for children and $22 for adults.
The experience takes about 45 minutes to complete and is open Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday.
At Westfield Garden State Plaza, Dopamine Land joins a lineup of entertainment options that includes movie theater chain AMC Theatres, bowling-bocce-bistro concept Pinstripes and Hasbro-themed indoor family entertainment center Planet Playskool.
