Popular chicken finger chain Raising Cane’s is heading to the .

A brand spokesperson exclusively told NJBIZ that the eatery expects to open by late 2026 at 1036 Cedar Bridge Ave. in Brick, pending local approval and permitting.

At Brick Plaza, Raising Cane’s will take over a pad site on the back of the property that has remained vacant since Quaker Steak & Lube closed five years ago.

Raising Cane’s plans to tear down the existing 8,148-square-foot restaurant and replace it with a new 3,333-square-foot building that includes drive-thru lanes, parking areas and associated improvements.

It joins a retail mix at the -owned shopping center that includes Trader Joe’s, Burlington, Barnes & Noble, AMC Theatres, PetSmart, Michaels, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar, AT&T, The Good Feet Store, European Wax Center, Cava, Crumbl Cookies, Men’s Wearhouse, Wonder and Ulta Beauty.

Founded in 1996, Raising Cane’s serves chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, coleslaw and signature “Cane’s Sauce.” With more than 900 locations nationwide, the Louisiana-based chain is considered one of the fastest-growing restaurant brands in the U.S.

By the end of 2025, the company expects to have nearly 1,000 restaurants open across the country. Raising Cane’s also plans to unveil the first of several sites in the United Kingdom over the next 12 months.

Since opening its first New Jersey location last year in Burlington, Raising Cane’s has added outposts in Washington Township, Marlton, Cherry Hill, Deptford and Glassboro. A media representative for the chain recently confirmed plans to open by this winter in Fairfield and Edison, too.

Raising Cane’s has not commented on local reports that it is looking to open at the Blue Star Shopping Center in Watchung. However, the Route 22 shopping center’s exclusive leasing and managing agent Levin Management Corp. says on its website the chain is “coming soon.”
