Five Below will mark the launch of its newest store in New Jersey with giveaways, exclusive product deals, games and family-friendly activities.
Located at 1701 Route 22 in Watchung, the budget-friendly retailer plans to host a three-day grand opening celebration starting Feb. 13.
Founded 23 years ago in a Philadelphia suburb, Five Below sells trend-driven merchandise at everyday low prices across several categories, such as fashion, décor, sports, arts & crafts, celebrations and candy.
Its brick-and-mortar footprint of more than 1,800 stores across the U.S. includes 69 sites in New Jersey.
As part of its ongoing growth strategy, Five Below added 227 stores in fiscal year 2024 and roughly 150 more in fiscal year 2025. At least 40 locations are slated to come online in the first part of this year, the company has said.
In recent months, Five Below added several more stores in New Jersey, including Columbia Park Center in North Bergen, Legacy Square in Linden and Plaza Square in Wayne.
At Blue Star Shopping Center in Watchung, Five Below joins a tenant mix that includes a new ShopRite, Taco Bell, The Children’s Place, Planet Fitness, Kohl’s, Marshalls, Dollar Tree, Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa and Five Below. Off-price retailer Burlington and popular chicken finger chain Raising Cane’s will also open soon at the 420,000-square-foot retail hub.
Following Five Below’s official opening, the 100,000-square-foot store will be open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
