Habit Burger in Wayne offering unique back-to-school promo

Got dinner plans Wednesday? A Habit Burger in Central Jersey is looking to draw diners with a special promotion in celebration of back to school.

As children hit the books, parents and caregivers are invited to celebrate their “First Day of Freedom” with 10% off orders throughout the day Sept. 7 at Habit Burger in Wayne.

The impetus for the promotion came from a conversation with a friend of the Santa Barbara, Calif.-based brand, who just so happened to be an educator in the Garden State. According to The Habit Burger Grill, the effort reflects its reputation as a welcoming place for families to spend time together.

“Whether it’s our famous charburgers or our signature hospitality, The Habit Burger Grill has always been about delivering delight to our guests. As the summer winds down, we wanted to bring a Moment of Sunshine to Habit guests in New Jersey and in particular, to parents, because we’re parents too,” Chief Brand Officer Iwona Alter said in a statement.

Habit Burger has 15 locations either open or on their way in the Garden State. The fast-casual restaurant dates back to 1969. It currently boasts more than 335 restaurants in 14 states including Arizona, California, Florida, Idaho, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Utah, Virginia, Washington and New Jersey, in addition to 13 international locations.

Habit is looking to spread the word – and the love – by offering an additional promotion to parents and caregivers who are feeling particularly social. Sharing a photo with the hashtag #habitfirstdayoffreedom could catch the eye of the burger maker, which “will be on the lookout to surprise pic posters.”

To redeem the 10% off promotion at the Wayne location, show the cashier your child’s first day of school picture or mention First Day of Freedom when ordering. Habit Burger Grill is located at 916 Hamburg Turnpike; store hours are 10:30 a.m. t0 10 p.m.
