Inserra Supermarkets Inc. is getting ready to launch its newest ShopRite in North Jersey.

Located at 180 Broadway in Elmwood Park, the state-of-the-art supermarket is scheduled to open Nov. 17 following a 7 a.m. grand opening celebration with Inserra executives, local officials, community members and store associates.

Built on the site of a former Kmart store, the new ShopRite will feature a wide selection of groceries, fresh produce, prepared items and locally sourced foods. It will also have several signature Inserra offerings, including bakery, hot foods, grab-and-go meals, butcher, seafood and floral departments.

As part of the grand opening, Inserra will present a $10,000 check to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, donate $5,000 in gift cards to the Elmwood Park Food Bank and provide 30 turkeys to St. Leo’s Church in Elmwood Park.

A member of Keasbey retailer co-op Wakefern Food Corp., Mahwah-based Inserra is a family-owned company with 23 ShopRites and two PriceRite Marketplaces in Bergen, Hudson and Passaic counties, and four stores in Rockland County, N.Y.
