As part of an effort to increase mental health advocacy and education, the KPMG U.S. Foundation awarded a three-year, $112,500 grant to the Mental Health Association in New Jersey.
“We’re honored to support the Mental Health Association in New Jersey through this grant from the KPMG U.S. Foundation,” said KPMG Short Hills Office Managing Partner Jeff Knight. “Their work advancing mental health awareness and access to care is vital to the well-being of our communities – and we’re proud to stand alongside them in this mission.”
MHANJ says the funding, which is part of a nationwide initiative from the KPMG U.S. Foundation, will be used to support its mission to help people achieve victory over mental illness and substance use disorders through advocacy, education, training and services.

“We are very honored, and we are very grateful to KPMG for choosing the Mental Health Association in New Jersey for this grant which will have a significant impact on our work,” said Carolyn Beauchamp, MHANJ president and CEO. “Their generous support will help us expand our advocacy and educational efforts. By engaging with people on a grassroots level across the state, we educate them about how to identify and begin to address mental health issues in the early stages to prevent more serious outcomes.
“It also helps to break the stigma of mental illness and substance use conditions that often keep people from seeking the help that they need.”
Arun Rajappa, KPMG Montvale office managing principal, stressed that mental health is foundational to thriving communities.
“This grant reflects our shared commitment to supporting organizations like the Mental Health Association in New Jersey that are making a meaningful difference across New Jersey,” said Rajappa. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to help amplify their impact.”
