KPMG adds 10K sq ft to new Morristown HQ Plaza office

KPMG started 2025 announcing plans to move its New Jersey office from Short Hills to a new base in . Now the Big Four firm says it will occupy even more space when it joins the roster at .

NJBIZ has learned will expand its planned 66,000-square-foot space at the former Headquarters Plaza with an additional 10,000 square feet.

Beyond occupying the top four floors of the the West Tower at the Olnick Organization and Fisher Development-owned complex, KPMG’s latest expansion also will bring the firm’s presence to the ground level.

A spokesperson for KPMG told NJBIZ the new addition will offer conference center space. The area will feature enhanced conference room capabilities, providing more collaborative space to employees, they said.

“KPMG will be relocating its Short Hills office to Morristown’s HQ Plaza in Fall 2026 to better accommodate its employees in the area,” KPMG said. “With the addition of another 10,000 square feet in space, this move will now represent a 40% expansion in space from our current location. We look forward to continuing to serve our clients with excellence in this vibrant market.”

The firm currently occupies space at 51 John F. Kennedy Parkway in Short Hills. According to the company’s website, the office supports prominent publicly owned and privately held business clients in New Jersey and the surrounding area.

In January, a KPMG spokesperson told NJBIZ 1,000 employees will be coded to the new office in the Morris County seat.

Cushman & Wakefield Executive Vice Chairman Robert Donnelly and Vice Chairman Robert Donnelly Jr. handle for HQ Plaza and represented ownership in lease announced in January. CBRE Vice Chairman Jeff Babikian and First Vice President Conor Dolan represented the tenant then, and in the latest expansion, a KPMG spokesperson confirmed.

The company marks one of the latest to bring its base to Morristown.

In May, Sanofi opened doors on its flagship in town at M Station West (Deloitte occupies sister building, M Station East). The global pharmaceutical giant was specifically drawn to the city, which offers connectivity, accessibility and walkability for employees.

Meanwhile, BankUnited also joined the roster at HQ Plaza this spring. In launching the new corporate office, the institution noted the location would increase services for existing clients in the region. It also said the space offers ample opportunities to grow new relationships.

HQ Plaza revealed plans to reinvigorate the 1 million-square-foot office complex in early 2024. The work aims to activate underutilized space and open it up to invite more public and tenant engagement.
