Life Time at The Shops at Riverside in Hackensack holds the distinction of having been the brand’s debut studio-only space in North America when it opened in 2022. Now, the Bergen County location has reached another milestone.

On July 20, the transitioned 15,000-square-foot location opened as Life Time Inc.’s first “four boutique” model in North America, according to the company. The site will offer more than 150 classes each week from its offerings:

• Alpha Studio: Alpha strength and Alpha conditioning as well as Dynamic Personal Training.
• Pilates Studios: Classical Pilates and an athletic/HIIT hybrid reformer class featuring the REBEL Pilates line.
• Signature Studio: Featuring GTX and Ultra Fit and a select large group strength offerings.
• Yoga Studio: Dedicated for yoga, dance, barre, and mat Pilates.

During National Pilates Month in May, Life Time Studio expanded through its acquisition of Pure Impact Pilates. With this latest transition, Alpha Training joins the club. Centered on Olympic-style lifting, metabolic conditioning and technical movement, Life Time’s signature group training program is housed a new, state-of-the-art space at the “the ultimate small group training boutique destination in the tri-state area.”

“Life Time Studio has evolved since our opening and we saw the opportunity to focus on four of our brands to best serve the community and our members: Pilates, Yoga/Barre, GTX/UltraFit, and Alpha,” Ahley Sikora, area director, New Jersey at Life Time, said in a statement to NJBIZ. “Through our research, we have found people currently purchase, on average, two boutique memberships. With Life Time Studio, we bring the most wanted boutiques into one space with one valuable membership.”

Life Time operates more than 165 clubs in the U.S. and Canada. With seven locations in New Jersey, the company is set to deliver both Life Time Middletown – Red Bank and Life Time Work Middletown-Red Bank in 2024.

As for Hackensack as a launchpad for Life Time’s studio set, Sikora praised the area, in addition to the team behind the two-story shopping center.

“Life Time has a great relationship with Simon Properties,” Sikora said. “Hackensack is a growing and highly populated area for both daytime, evening and weekend traffic. The Shops at Riverside is a great place to have our first studio-only destination.”

The Life Time at The Shops at Riverside is located at 390 Hackensack Ave. in Hackensack and open seven days a week.
