The New Jersey Small Business Development Center at The College of New Jersey, in partnership with New Brunswick Tomorrow, has opened a new satellite office in New Brunswick.
A ribbon-cutting event took place March 18 at Jasmine Indian Fusion Restaurant in recognition of National SBDC Day. The NJSBDC at TCNJ is located at New Brunswick Tomorrow‘s George Street office. The site provides no-cost, in-person business counseling to entrepreneurs across Middlesex County, as well as the surrounding communities.
The outpost is part of NJSBDC at TCNJ‘s regional service area, which also includes Mercer, Hunterdon and Somerset counties. Available in English as well as Spanish, services include:
“This collaboration strengthens our ability to serve the Middlesex area’s small business community in a meaningful and consistent way,” said NJSBDC at TCNJ Regional Director Lilian Mauro. “Our satellite office at NBT allows us to provide direct, hands-on guidance for new and established business owners to ramp up, stabilize and/or grow.
“Our goal is to ensure practical tools, sound strategy and support is available to help them make informed decisions and build long-term sustainability.”
Jaymie Santiago is president and CEO of New Brunswick Tomorrow. He said the partnership represents a major step forward for inclusive economic development.
“Our investment in this satellite office is an investment in Central Jersey’s entrepreneurs and small business owners,” said Santiago. “At NBT, we know that when small businesses succeed, families build wealth and neighborhoods thrive.”
