  • KearnyBank Foundation contributed $20,000 to Paterson-based Eva’s Village to help address an expanded need for services dictated by COVID-19. The nonprofit provides basic needs for men, women and children and addresses issues including addiction, mental illness and chronic homelessness. KearnyBank Foundation began ongoing financial support of Eva’s Village in 2020.   • On March 1, Hilton Short Hills hosted a ribbon cutting and flag raising ceremony with representatives of Millburn Township, Millburn Short Hills Chamber of Commerce and the Millburn Short Hills Fire Department to celebrate the hotel’s grand reopening. During its closure, the hospitality provider upgraded public areas and behind-the-scenes infrastructure throughout the property, in addition to implementing Hilton’s CleanStay and EventReady protocols to provide guests with a clean and safe experience.   • All-women group Impact 100, which pools member donations for grant giving, will award $363,000 to local nonprofits this year--the biggest annual amount in its 10-year history. To date, the group says it has awarded more than $2.4 million to nonprofits in Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex and Union counties.   • In partnership with Embrace Kids Foundation and Tackle Sickle Cell, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital attracted 200 donors to the 8th Annual Tackle Sickle Cell Blood Drive on Feb. 26. A total of 189 units of blood were collected and 56 units of fresh frozen plasma were manufactured, resulting in 223 lives saved, according to RWJUH.
