Fast casual chain The Habit Burger Grill is adding a second location in Mercer County.

After inking a deal to lease a pad site at Hamilton Plaza in Hamilton Township, the brand will develop a 3,100-square-foot restaurant with drive-thru, according to Plainfield-based Levin Management Corp., the shopping center’s leasing and management agent.

Known for its cooked-to-order chargrilled burgers, handcrafted sandwiches, fresh salads, shakes and sides, the California-founded eatery has several spots in New Jersey, including in Bloomfield, Bridgewater, East Brunswick, Cherry Hill, Eatontown, Fair Lawn, Florham Park, Lawrenceville, Montvale, Parsippany, River Edge, Teterboro, Union and Wayne.

Ed Vasconcellos III, a Levin Management leasing representative who handled the agreement on behalf of Hamilton Plaza, said, “The Habit Burger Grill is a high-quality tenant and leader in the fast-casual segment. We are excited to add another nationally recognized concept to Hamilton Plaza. This popular chain is sure to be a hit within the local community.”

Levin Management noted that while the brand’s other shops in New Jersey are corporate-owned and managed, the Hamilton Township restaurant will be the state’s first franchisee-operated one.

Located at the intersection of Route 22 and Whitehouse-Hamilton Square Road, the 175,000-square-foot center is anchored by a ShopRite and features tenants such as Moe’s Southwest Grill, Petco, Dollar Tree, Texas Roadhouse, Mattress Firm, The Goodwill Store, America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses and A Slice of Brooklyn.
