Rapidly growing sandwich chain PrimoHoagies is appointing its first director of to help the brand achieve its goal of surpassing 300 locations within the next few years.

In an Oct. 31 press release announcing the arrival of Lauren Tesche-Johnson, the Westville-based fast casual brand said she’ll focus on propelling growth through development in new and key markets, as well as expanding the company’s existing footprint.

With over 20 years of background across various industries, including finance, beverage distribution and health care technology, Tesche-Johnson most recently served as sales director for ThirdWaveRX, a health care cost savings company.

As director of business development at , Tesche-Johnson will leverage her experience and sales insight position to identifying promising markets and nurturing relationships with potential franchise partners, the chain said.

“My goal is to bring a fresh perspective to PrimoHoagies and build on its already impressive franchise development. I’m dedicated to maintaining and bringing the high standards that PrimoHoagies is known for to new communities to enjoy,” stated Tesche-Johnson. “I look forward to connecting with potential franchise prospects looking for an established and successful business ownership opportunity.”

“Her qualities and sales experience make her an excellent fit to continue propelling PrimoHoagies franchise development forward to match our aggressive growth goals,” he said. “Our ongoing success has created new avenues for network expansion, and we are eager to capitalize on those opportunities now with Lauren at the helm.”

Recently named as America’s No. 1 sandwich shop in USA Today’s readers’ choice awards, the company has more than 100 locations across the country, including over 30 restaurants in New Jersey, and says it is well on its way to launching 115 stores by the end of 2023.

To support its growth goals, the brand recently announced it will slash franchise fees by 50% for any new development agreement finalized through Nov. 30. The “Prosper with Primo” incentive also offers opportunities for more significant discounts, including royalty abatement for deals of three units or larger, the chain said.
