QuickChek beat out Starbucks, Dunkin’ and Wawa as the first to roll out pumpkin-flavored coffee beverages in 2025.
Starting Aug. 11, pumpkin spice coffee is back at the Whitehouse Station-based convenience store chain’s 150-plus locations across New Jersey and New York. The brand’s full pumpkin-inspired menu returns Aug. 25, QuickChek said in a press release.
QuickChek Senior Vice President Blake Segal shared, “Some people may argue it is too early for pumpkin-flavored food and drinks, but we wanted to be the first to market for true fans of the official start of fall. Launching our Pumpkin Spice Coffee has become a tradition at QuickChek and we are excited to offer our loyal customers an early taste of their seasonal favorite.”

According to the Murphy USA subsidiary, pumpkin spice coffee is available hot and iced at its self-serve coffee bar and as a frozen, made-to-order beverage; as well as in 64-ounce brew boxes. Beginning Aug. 25, it can be purchased as K-cup pods and bags of ground coffee, too.
When Starbucks introduced its pumpkin spice latte in 2003, the global brand sparked a seasonal craze. Since then, competing chains have raced to debut their own versions of pumpkin-flavored items each year.
The launch date keeps creeping up earlier, too. So, what used to be a September treat now hits menus by mid-August. QuickChek confirmed this year marks its earliest release ever for pumpkin coffee.
Starbucks expects an Aug. 26 return for its fall menu in 2025. In addition to the pumpkin spice latte, the coffee giant’s lineup will include pumpkin cream cold brew, iced pumpkin cream chai, pecan crunch oat milk latte, pecan oat milk cortado and Italian sausage egg bites, according to a press release.
Doughnut maker Krispy Kreme announced last week it will bring back its pumpkin spice-flavored treats and beverages Aug. 11. Coffee chain Dunkin’ has not yet confirmed a launch date for its fall menu, but food bloggers have shared they think it will drop around Aug. 20. Convenience chain Wawa hasn’t officially said when their pumpkin offerings will be available, but in prior years the items have landed in stores around mid-August.
