Salad-and-bowl chain Sweetgreen is adding a second location in Bergen County.
Located at 340 Market St. in Montvale, the Los Angeles-based fast casual brand’s seventh store in New Jersey is set to begin welcoming customers Sept. 10.
Founded 17 years ago, Sweetgreen serves customizable bowls, salads and sides made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
The chain’s footprint of more than 140 locations nationwide includes six spots in New Jersey: Morristown, Hackensack, Shrewsbury, Marlton, Montclair and Jersey City. A store in Westfield is expected to launch later this year.
In Montvale, at the S. Hekemian Group’s mixed-used North Market, Sweetgreen’s neighbors include Chipotle, Chopt, Starbucks, Paris Baguette, Habit Burger Grill and SQ Pizza. Cookie franchise Crumbl Cookies will also join the lineup next month.
