Trinitas Regional Medical Center (TRMC), an RWJBarnabas Health facility, recently unveiled a new Medical Arts Building on the hospital’s Elizabeth campus.

On April 13, a representative for RWJBarnabas said the April 6 ribbon-cutting ceremony marked Gary Horan’s last such event as president and CEO of the hospital before his retirement.

In January, TRMC announced that Horan would step down April 14 after 21 years at the helm. Nancy DiLiegro, currently chief clinical officer, vice president of clinical operations and physician services, will succeed Horan, effective April 15.

Construction of the facility began in the first quarter of 2021, an RWJBarnabas representative told NJBIZ. The health care provider did not disclose the cost of the new center.

The new, 46,000-square-foot Class A medical office building will include an 8,500-square-foot dialysis center with state-of-the-art equipment, a comprehensive Women’s Health Center offering OB/GYN services, Women’s Infants and Children Nutrition Program (WIC), a comprehensive Pediatric Health Center as well as several physician practices.

The WIC program will open to patients in the building in May, with other services planned to open over the summer, the representative told NJBIZ.
