Breeze Airways continues to expand its footprint at . On Wednesday, the airline announced it will launch new nonstop service to Vero Beach, Fla., beginning Oct. 2.

The twice-weekly route will operate on Mondays and Fridays. Introductory fares start at $89 one way.

The addition represents the latest step in International Airport’s efforts to expand and diversify its airline offerings following a period of significant transition.

Over the past two months, Breeze has rapidly grown its presence at the airport. Allegiant Air also continues to provide service to several leisure destinations from ACY after the abrupt shutdown of Spirit Airlines in May.

“We are pleased to welcome nonstop service to Vero Beach and expand the travel options available through the Atlantic City International Airport,” said Stephen Dougherty, executive director of the South Jersey Transportation Authority. “This new route from reflects the continued demand for convenient, affordable air service and strengthens connectivity for travelers throughout our region.

With the addition of Vero Beach, Breeze will serve eight destinations from Atlantic City by the end of 2026, significantly expanding the airport’s route map.

The growth comes as airport officials work to maintain and expand air service following Spirit Airlines’ shutdown May 2. Prior to ceasing operations, Spirit had been one of ACY’s largest carriers, operating flights to several Florida destinations and accounting for a substantial portion of passenger traffic.

Following Spirit’s departure, SJTA officials pointed to Breeze and Allegiant as key partners in maintaining affordable leisure travel options from the airport.

Founded in 2021 by aviation entrepreneur David Neeleman, Breeze has positioned itself as a low-cost carrier focused on underserved routes and secondary markets. The airline currently operates more than 300 seasonal and year-round routes serving 91 cities across the United States, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.
