According to the statewide trade association, the group will begin meeting in September. It will present its recommendations to the NJRHA board in January 2026. The anticipated time commitment for volunteers is a few hours per month, NJRHA said.
Other events taking place in the region next year include the Sail4th 250 maritime celebration in the Port of New York and New Jersey as well as the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in Philadelphia.
According to economic impact studies, the World Cup is forecast to bring in between $2 billion and $3.3 billion for tourism, hospitality and related sectors. Meanwhile, Sail4th is anticipated to produce $2.85 billion in economic activity.
NJRHA President and CEO Daniel Klim noted, “The eyes of the world will be on New Jersey in 2026. This Task Force will ensure our hospitality community is ready to meet the moment and deliver an exceptional experience.”
