The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities is launching a regular breakfast series to better connect with businesses in the state.
Set for March 21 at Bergen County Community College in Lyndhurst, the inaugural Business Breakfast Summit will take place from 8 a.m. to noon on the 5th floor.

NJBPU President Christine Guhl-Sadovy expressed excitement about the launch.
“By building strong partnerships, we can empower businesses and organizations to take full advantage of available programs and resources to help reduce costs and support New Jersey’s clean energy transition,” she said in a statement announcing the program. “I look forward to seeing business leaders throughout North Jersey at our first Business Breakfast Summit on March 21.”
In addition to Guhl-Sadovy, NJBPU said speakers include:
Part of the New Jersey Clean Energy Program, the Workforce Development Reimbursement initiative, which recently went live, supports new construction.
The effort compensates up to $2,000 per person per course, upon successful completion of preapproved training as well as certifications supporting the upcoming New Construction Program. The maximum reimbursement per fiscal year (July 1 – June 30) is $4,000.
Beyond businesses both large and small, the Business Breakfast Summit will convene nonprofits and government entities, as well. The series aims to offer insights about how participants can take advantage of New Jersey Clean Energy Program incentives and initiatives.
In addition to the speakers, the morning will include informational breakout sessions as well as networking opportunities.
The series is the latest in efforts among state government to better connect with its business community. In February, the Murphy administration unveiled members for its recently launched Governor’s Economic Council.
Following the North Jersey debut, the NJBPU Business Breakfast series will hold three more events in June, September and December in Central, Southwest and Southeast Jersey, respectively.
