PortPro launches AI Agents to aid drayage carriers

PortPro announced the launch of a new tool that aims to help carriers and brokers navigate the myriad challenges they face.

NJBIZ profiled the New Jersey-based business in 2024. is the leading (TMS) provider purpose-built for the drayage industry. Founded by CEO Michael Mecca, the company continues to expand. It now has a 130-person team.

PortPro launched its Agents May 13. The digital tools can think, learn and take actions on behalf of users.

Key features include:

  • Powered by artificial intelligence: Can understand user intent, process data and made decisions dynamically
  • Built directly into PortPro’s TMS: Allowing for everything to happen within that platform
  • Accessed through a simple chat interface: AI Agents acts as a digital assistant performing real operational tasks, such as identifying containers still out for return; validating billing documents; and quickly retrieving shipment data

 

PortPro says these powerful tools are designed to help drayage trucking companies and brokers simplify operations, reduce repetitive work and respond faster – without adding new systems or complexity.
