A South Plainfield woman became the first-ever New Jersey winner of the Mega Jackpot on Hard Rock Bet. The lucky resident took home $1.94 million from the platform’s proprietary progressive jackpot system.

The winning spin occurred at 5:27 p.m. May 11. The woman, identified as Deborah S., was playing “Bag the Swag: Hold & Win” by Octoplay. She wagered $1 spins and contributed just $0.20 per spin to the jackpot pool when the Mega tier was triggered.

According to the company, the payout marks the first seven-figure jackpot awarded through Hard Rock Bet‘s New Jersey Mega Jackpot system since the feature launched in the state.

How it works

Hard Rock Bet offers more than 4,200 online casino games in New Jersey, along with an integrated rewards platform through Unity by Hard Rock.

The jackpot system includes four progressive tiers, mini, minor, major and mega. It is available across thousands of eligible slot titles. Players can opt in by adding $0.10 per spin to contribute to a shared jackpot pool, with winners selected randomly without requiring bonus rounds or special symbols.

The company said the Mega Jackpot had surpassed $1 million shortly after launching in New Jersey. It has already begun climbing again following the nearly $2 million payout.
