New Jersey-born concept is launching its 12th restaurant, continuing its expansion in South Jersey.

The eatery held its official opening Aug. 9 at 801 Haddonfield Road in Cherry Hill. The storefront is open daily for indoor and outdoor dining, as well as pick-up and delivery via third-party platforms.

Founded nine years ago in New Brunswick by four Rutgers alumni, Tacoria serves tacos, burritos and other Mexican items prepared from scratch daily. The menu includes burrito boxes for $10.95, hand-crafted tacos for $4.60, Mexican street corn for $4.95 and crispy flour tortillas drizzled in Nutella for $5.50.

The chain has since unveiled locations in Edgewater, Ridgewood, Hoboken, Jersey City, Montclair, Paramus, Piscataway and Princeton. It made its South Jersey debut last September in Marlton.

As part of a larger expansion effort across the state, Tacoria expects to open additional stores, but did not yet say where.

‘One taco at a time’

Commenting on its latest launch, Tacoria co-founder Vishal Patel said, “Cherry Hill is a perfect match for our next location because it is so vibrant, diverse, and full of community pride. We’re excited to share our food and our mission with South Jersey and build meaningful connections, one taco at a time.”

According to Tacoria, the new spot will bring 20 full- and part-time jobs to the community. It is open Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Tacoria will hold an Aug. 21 celebration including an 11:30 a.m. ribbon cutting, flag raising ceremony with the Cherry Hill Township School District’s JROTC and giveaways to customers who sign up as rewards members through the chain’s app.

Additionally, Tacoria plans to make a donation to The Food Bank of South Jersey.

As part of its mission to give back, Tacoria offers a standing 50% discount to all first responders every day, honoring those who serve. The chain also says it builds relationships with local organizations and has donated over 100,000 tacos to community members across New Jersey over the past two years.
