Promotion returns to New Jersey in April

Target is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its car seat trade-in program with specials and discounts.
Between April 19 through May 2, the Minneapolis-based big box chain will give a 20% Target Circle Bonus to customers who bring in old, expired, damaged or out-of-use car seats.
All Target locations will participate in the trade-in promotion. The banner has more than 50 stores in New Jersey.
Since beginning the semiannual program in 2016, Target says the effort has helped keep more than 58 million pounds of materials out of landfills. The retailer also said that recycled resin from those discarded car seats has been used in over 690,000 of its branded Brightroom and Room Essentials products.
Target Senior Vice President of Merchandising, Essentials and Beauty Amanda Nusz said, “Families trust Target to be there for them during life’s biggest milestones. With Car Seat Trade-In, we’re making it easier for busy parents to get high-quality, thoughtfully designed products for their little ones while easily recycling what they no longer need and saving on what comes next.”
This year’s event goes beyond just discounts to include in-store experiences, giveaways and samples to help guests discover what’s new in the baby department.
An April 25 event includes baby-related trivia for a chance to win Pampers diapers and wipes. Tiny Trivia will take place at most stores between noon and 4 p.m. Then on April 26, select stores will host baby box giveaways of essential products from Little Spoon, Enfamil, Happy Baby and Pampers. Raffles will take place between noon and 4 p.m.
The upcoming car seat trade-in marks the first since Target rolled out its new experiential retail experience for families. The space aims to make it easier for parents to shop for baby-related items.
The Baby Boutique is now live in nearly 200 stores nationwide. Within New Jersey, it can be found in:
