Bob’s Discount Furniture is gearing up to launch its 14th store in New Jersey.

Located at 92 Route 36 in Eatontown, the value-driven chain is scheduled to open Aug. 29.

Founded in 1991, Bob’s is known for offering everyday low prices on an assortment of furniture, mattresses and home accents.

The chain’s commitment to an enjoyable, low-pressure shopping experience also features in-store cafés with complimentary snacks.

Earlier this year, Bob’s ranked No. 7 on NJBIZ sister publication Furniture Today’s Top 100 U.S. Furniture Stores list. According to Furniture Today, it marked the chain’s highest placement to date.

Over the past three decades, Bob’s has grown beyond its Connecticut roots to 200-plus stores across 24 states.

Within New Jersey, it has locations in Bridgewater, Cherry Hill, Deptford, Freehold, Mays Landing, Monmouth Junction, Paramus, Piscataway, Secaucus, Toms River and Totowa.

As part of a broader expansion strategy, Bob’s expects to add 20 new locations this year in existing markets, such as New York, Pennsylvania and California. The push will also include the brand’s first stores in Vermont and North Carolina.

Besides opening in Eatontown, Bob’s plans to relocate its existing store on Black Horse Pike in Mays Landing.

A spokesperson for the chain said the new location, set for 230 Consumer Square in Mays Landing, is expected to open this winter.
