“Our goal is to bring the freshest and most flavorful herbs to our retail partners and their customers. Through this expansion, even more consumers will have access to our locally grown favorites—including basil, cilantro, and parsley to name a few—each nurtured with an unwavering focus on quality, sustainability, and environmental stewardship,” said Kras.

He went on to say, “Our focus across our distribution network is to empower health-conscious consumers to enhance their culinary experiences with ingredients that offer both outstanding flavor and support a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle.”

Founded in 2015, Edible Garden’s locally grown, sustainable lettuce, organic herbs, hydro basil, salad kits, sauces and protein powders can be found at more than 5,000 stores, including Meijer, Target, Stop & Shop, ShopRite, Aldi, Foodtown, Kroger, Stew Leonard’s, H Mart and Walmart.

The expansion with Stop & Shop “responds to the rising demand for locally sourced, sustainably grown products and furthers Edible Garden’s commitment to our Zero-Waste Inspired mission,” Kras said.

“By delivering a wide range of high-quality, fresh offerings to our retail partners, we continue to align with shifting consumer preferences while strengthening local communities and advancing sustainable farming practices,” he added.

Edible Garden is also continuing to grow its retail footprint across the Northeast with the addition of several new retail partners in New Jersey and New York.

In a May 29 press release, the company said its sustainably grown hydro basil, potted and cut herbs and new line of fresh pickles are now available at Waverly Gourmet Market, Key Food, Netcost Market and Marrazzo’s Market.
