CWA union deal calls for July furloughs, delayed pay increases to avoid lay-offs (access required)

The union said the agreement is effectively better than the one it received more than a decade ago during the Great Recession. “Deferring wage increases and having workers furloughed, even for a few days, is difficult,” the organization said in a Facebook post. “But in an environment such as this, we believe that we have accomplished something remarkable.”
