Aunt Mary’s Dispensary has become the latest medical dispensary to enter New Jersey’s legalized marketplace for recreational cannabis sales.
After the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC) approved the company’s application to expand operations into the personal-use market, the Flemington-based business officially began welcoming adult-use customers Aug. 26.
Located at 100 Rearville Ave. in The Shoppes at Flemington, the 5,200-square-foot storefront offers a curated collection of vaporizers, cartridges, disposables and live resin from trusted, local brands including Verano, Cookies, &Shine and Legend.
The launch comes as Aunt Mary’s prepares to kick off its own line of craft cannabis products following the completion of a state-of-the-art cultivation facility in Somerset.
Since opening in February, Aunt Mary’s is the only medicinal cannabis provider in Hunterdon County and will continue to make patients a “high level priority,” according to Aunt Mary’s General Manager Shawna Tyson.
“With over 1,250 medical patients relying on us, we are unwavering in providing them priority access and dedicated service hours,” said Tyson.
Open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., the shop will offer medical-only hours Monday through Wednesday, 9 to 11 a.m.; Thursday through Saturday, 9 to 10 a.m.; and Saturdays and Sundays, 9 a.m. to noon and 6 to 8 p.m.
“Our commitment goes beyond offering safe and legal cannabis in New Jersey. It’s about uplifting the community, fostering economic growth, and embracing the future,” commented Kate Bio, CEO of Aunt Mary’s. “By offering a diverse range of quality cannabis products, we are not just serving consumers but also nurturing a model of informed and responsible use.”
Chief Sales Officer Jonathon Goldrath added, “Aunt Mary’s pledges its dedication to Flemington and New Jersey by championing economic development and battling the stigmatization surrounding cannabis. This expansion will undoubtedly boost local economic opportunities, further cementing our position as a catalyst for positive change in the region.”
As part of its effort to promote equity and opportunity in the state’s cannabis space, Aunt Mary’s has partnered with Vineland-based law firm The Hoffman Center PC to provide free virtual expungement services for cannabis-related criminal records.
Hunterdon County’s first recreational dispensary, Union Chill Cannabis Co., officially opened two months ago in Lambertville.
