Senior managing director in Crow Holdings Development’s Industrial Group, Machemer leads the Texas-based privately owned real estate investment and development firm’s Northeast office. Over the past two years, that team has delivered more than 3.5 million square feet of new development in New Jersey as well as Pennsylvania.

Amid pushback to industrial development in parts of the state, Machemer’s team has delivered high-profile, community driven properties. In Elmwood Park, the recently completed 25 Market St. Project gave new life to a previous Marcal Paper warehouse site, which was devastated during a January 2019 fire. Meanwhile in Carteret, Machemer underscored the importance of public-private partnerships while celebrating the recent debut of the 1.2 million-square-foot Crow Holdings at Carteret. He also highlighted the significance for the area, saying, “This municipality understands that development is an economic stimulant and driver for growth.” Both projects underscore a thesis Machemer fleshed out in an article published by NAIOP. Echoing his team’s recent work, the piece calls for developers to rethink warehouse, the role they can play and their designs.

Throughout his career Machemer has been a voice for the industry in his own right and through involvement in industry organizations, including a two-year term as NAIOP NJ president.
