Secaucus-based Hartz Mountain Industries continues to grow under Milano’s leadership as president and COO, with a focus on industrial and multifamily assets in major East Coast markets. In addition to the New Jersey office, Hartz also has a base in New York. The company is particularly adept at building complex developments quickly and efficiently. It owes this to an in-house team that comprises architectural, construction, design, engineering, legal, marketing, leasing, property management and financial members.
This fall, Hartz’s next-level luxury property Hoboken Point debuted at the company’s Lincoln Harbor enclave at 50% leased. The demand for the highly amenitized, and accessible, resort-style community speaks to Hartz’s awareness of evolving market needs and residents’ desires. In the industrial sector, Hartz recenlty completed preleasing for Phase 1 of an under-construction, Central Jersey logistics complex.
Hartz has disposed of over 10 million square feet of office space and has transitioned into 40 million square feet of industrial space, 3,800 apartment units, data centers, retail ground leases and New York City hotel holdings. Over the last 10 years, the company has also expanded its portfolio by acquiring more than 100 industrial buildings in the Southeast.
Currently serving on the NAIOP National board, Milano is a member of the ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers), and MBA (Mortgage Banker’s Association).
