Since 2017, Schneider has served as president and CEO of Anywhere Real Estate Inc., the parent company of some of the world’s leading real estate brokerage brands and service businesses – such as Coldwell Banker, Better Homes and Gardens, Century 21, Corcoran and Sotheby’s International Realty. Formerly known as Realogy, the Madison-based firm rebranded in May 2022 and made several changes to its leadership and structure in an effort to streamline its business.

In 2023, Anywhere made headlines for becoming the first major brokerage to settle class action lawsuits related to buyer agent commissions. As part of the resolution, the real estate giant agreed to make significant changes to its commission practices and pay $83.5 million to home sellers involved in three class action suits. When details of the settlement were released, Schneider said, “We believe this is the right course of action to remove future uncertainty and ongoing legal expense, serving the best interests of the company.”

The firm works with 182,900 independent sales agents in the U.S. and approximately 133,100 independent sales agents in 117 other countries and territories. It’s also earned several workplace accolades, including being honored on the Forbes list of World’s Best Employers for four years, named one of America’s Most Innovative Companies by Fortune for two years and featured by Newsweek as one of the World’s Most Trustworthy Companies.
