Katie Kurtz left Silverstein Properties this fall to take the helm at Red Bank-based Denholtz Properties. As she stepped into the CEO role, fellow Powerlist honorees Steven Denholtz, the former chief executive, transitioned to chairman, while President Stephen Cassidy became managing partner at the privately held, vertically integrated commercial real estate investment and development company.

With more than two decades of institutional real estate, capital markets and investment experience, at Silverstein, Kurtz most recently served as co-chief investment officer and CFO, overseeing the firm’s national, $10 billion commercial, residential and retail portfolio as well as its development and lending businesses.

In her new role, she leads the continued refinement of Denholtz Properties’ operational platform to capitalize on emerging commercial real estate investment opportunities nationwide. Commenting on LinkedIn, Kurtz said that “From the first moment I met Steven Denholtz and Stephen Cassidy, I knew that their entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to operational excellence made Denholtz Properties the perfect place to continue my commercial real estate journey.”
