Mondelēz Global issued another product after discovering a potential choking hazard.

In a Dec. 24 notice, the East Hanover-based company it is voluntarily recalling some batches of its ! Baked Bites snack “because of an incorrect mixing process that resulted in the formation of small corn starch clumps in the product.”

“Due to the characteristics and size of the small starch clumps, the clump could constitute a choking hazard, particularly in special risk groups, such as young children and the elderly,” Mondelēz said.

Affected products were shipped to “a limited number of retail stores nationwide,” the company said. Additional details on how many cases or states impacted were not provided.

The recalled product details:

  • 2.8-oz Chips Ahoy! Baked Bites Brookie:
    Eight-count, UPC 1 00 44000 08667 8 and best-by dates between May 9–12, 2026
  • 7.0-oz Chips Ahoy! Baked Bites Brookie
    Five-count, UPC 1 00 44000 08565 7 and best-by dates of May 12–18, 2026

No other Mondelēz products are included in the action and there have been no reports of injury or illness related to the affected item, according to the company. However, consumers who have the product are urged not to eat it.

The latest notice marks the company’s third product recall of 2025.

In July and November, Mondelēz recalled Ritz Cracker Sandwiches due to labeling errors that could pose a life-threatening risk to individuals with peanut allergies.

A media representative from Mondelēz did not immediately respond to a request for comments on the recalls issued this year.
