A GSK spinoff that has its U.S. headquarters in Warren, Haleon boasts several well-known brands, including anti-inflammatory drug Advil, Centrum multivitamin, Sensodyne toothpaste, Theraflu cold & flu relief products, and Tums antacid.

Ranked by Newsweek readers as one of the most trustworthy companie, the consumer health care giant also makes allergy relief nasal spray Flonase, dietary supplement Emergen-C, Polident denture care products and Aquafresh toothpaste.

In recent months, Haleon has made several changes as part of an effort to streamline its portfolio. That includes selling its Chapstik lip balm brand to Yellow Wood Partners-backed Suave Brands Co. in a deal worth $510 million. In September, it completed the $633 million sale of its nicotine replacement therapy business outside of the U.S. to Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories. The unit, which generated $274 million in sales last year, consists of brands such as Nicotinell, Nicabate, Habitrol and Thrive available in gum, lozenge and patch forms across over 30 markets.

Haleon has said the divestments will allow it to lower debt and focus on growth areas, like non-prescription drugs, vitamins and oral care products.

Brian McNamara, the company’s CEO, believes the moves are examples of Haleon “being proactive in managing its portfolio and is consistent with our strategy as we implement change to become more agile and competitive.” The executive also expressed confidence in the new ownership, saying he’s certain the brands will thrive.
