Paris Baguette, the Moonachie-based bakery café chain, is on an aggressive growth trajectory. The company has said that its goal is to be operating 1,000 locations across the U.S. and Canada by 2030.

As of early November, the franchise has opened 32 cafes and awarded 118 new franchises nationwide. By the end of 2024, the global brand expects to launch 20 more locations and officially reach 200 cafés in North America.

The chain is known for its French-style sandwiches and freshly baked bread, pastries, dessert and coffee. Since its founding four decades ago in South Korea, the brand has grown to 4,000 units worldwide. To set itself apart from rivals in the $17 billion fast-casual café space, Paris Baguette focuses almost exclusively on breads, cakes, pastries and beverages. Meanwhile, many other eateries have moved into sandwiches and other lunch items.

Growth is occurring elsewhere, as well. After refreshing its mobile app and loyalty program, Paris Baguette said more than 650,000 members enrolled – a 25% increase since its July launch.

“The momentum we’ve built over the course of the year has been incredible and I’m excited to see what the rest of the year brings as we prepare for an outstanding 2025,” said CEO Darren Tipton.

And under the company’s recently introduced rewards program, guests can bank one point for every $1 spent to use however they choose. Points can be earned on every transaction, from online and mobile app to in-café orders. It also includes orders scheduled for pick-up or delivery, according to the chain.
