Tommy’s Tavern & Tap is launching a second outpost in Passaic County.
Located at 71 Route 23 in Wayne, the Jersey Shore-born regional restaurant chain held its grand opening June 25.
Husband-wife team Tommy and Yvette Bonfiglio founded the eatery a decade ago in Sea Bright. Tommy’s Tavern & Tap’s award-winning menu features specialty wings, burgers, coal-fired pizza, sushi, salads and sandwiches. The full-service restaurant also has an extensive craft beer menu, whiskey offerings and specialty cocktails.
In Wayne, Tommy’s Tavern + Tap is taking over a 6,298-square-foot space at Wayne Towne Center previously occupied by TGI Fridays. The location was among the dozens closed nationwide by the popular casual dining chain last year ahead of filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Tommy’s Tavern + Tap now has 13 locations open across three states. Within New Jersey, the family-owned eatery can be found in Sea Bright, Freehold, Clifton, Bridgewater, Edison, Princeton, Morris Plains, Mount Laurel, Cherry Hill, Edgewater and Sea Girt.
It also expects to open a 9,160-square-foot restaurant soon at Ledgewood Commons in Ledgewood.
