While its official headquarters and board of directors is based across the Hudson River, Verizon’s Operational Headquarters is located in Basking Ridge.

In 2023, the Fortune 500 company reported $134 billion in revenue. At the lead as CEO since 2018, and chairman since 2019, is Hans Vestberg—the architect of Verizon’s 5G network strategy.

In the role, the leader has executed transformational investments setting Verizon up for generational success, according to the company. His triumphs include securing Verizon’s largest-such purchase in history: the $53 billion acquisition of C-Band spectrum.

According to the telecommunications giant, it powers and empowers the way people live, work and play. Part of that is in building connections, whether that’s connecting people to each other across its 5G network, bringing content to folks across broadband and fiber, or facilitating the flow of data.

Verizon counts businesses among its clientele, too. Offering solutions including managed security, fleet management and IoT to keep enterprises moving and focused on success.

Earlier in the year, the company doubled down on its New Jersey spirit, extending a partnership with Newark home-town hockey team the New Jersey Devils and the Prudential Center. The multiyear agreement will bring new technology for wireless connectivity and retail convenience to the venue.

An innovator in the tech space, Verizon also pioneers new developments with its Innovation Labs. Some of that next gen work has also found applications within the Garden State.

The Official 5G Network of the NHL, Verizon previously successfully piloted a Private 5G Wireless Network at Prudential Center, enabling the use of solutions such as wireless Officials’ iPads for replay review, video coaching and coach/video coach communications.
