Heading into her eighth year as president and CEO of Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, Visconi continues to spearhead positive change at one of the nation’s largest public hospitals. In 2024, for the fourth consecutive year, Bergen New Bridge was named a Top Hospital and Top Teaching Hospital nationally by The Leapfrog Group in recognition of the institution’s achievements in patient safety and quality. And for the third year in a row, the Long-Term Care Division at Bergen New Bridge was recognized on Newsweek’s Best Nursing Homes (2025) list. The LTC is the largest licensed nursing home in New Jersey, and one of only 6% to receive Joint Commission accreditation.
Under Visconi’s tenure, Bergen New Bridge continues to implement leading-edge medical advances. In 2024, for example, the facility became one of the few in the state to acquire the da Vinci 5 Surgical System by Intuitive, which allows for less-invasive surgeries while enabling better outcomes. This system also provides patients with shorter hospital stays, reduced pain, lower risk of infection and faster recovery times.
Beyond medicine, Visconi partners with multiple organizations improving New Jersey’s quality of life. Among other prominent positions, she sits on the boards of Care Plus Bergen, the Commerce Industry Association of New Jersey, the Meadowlands Chamber, and is an advisory council member at the National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives.
