Siekerka, the leader of the New Jersey Business & Industry Association, recently marked her 10th anniversary at the helm of the business advocacy organization. “How time flies when you are having fun,” she told NJBIZ.

And there was no slowdown for Siekerka in 2024. She was a leading voice combatting the controversial corporate transit fee, which included NJBIA’s “Do Better for Business” campaign. Last year also included her spearheading an extension of NJBIA’s strategic partnership with the New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program; being named to the National Association of Manufacturers’ board of directors; and being named chair of the Conference of State Manufacturers Associations.

A major area of focus for Siekerka is supporting and mentoring women in business – an effort that includes holding the largest professional women’s conference in the state over the last decade: the Women Business Leaders Forum.

She says that the most fulfilling part of the job is getting to work with and fight for job creators. “I take it very, very personally,” Siekerka said. “And I truly believe in the job creators and opportunities that they provide her in the State of New Jersey. So, I proudly stand up for them each and every day. That’s my Vitamin C.”
