As the CEO of ZAGO Manufacturing Co., Rottenstrich leads the Newark-based family-owned business.

A former corporate attorney, she started the Made in the USA fasteners and components company in 1993 with her husband, an engineer. Since its launch more than 30 years ago at the New Jersey Institute of Technology Enterprise Development Center small business incubator, the company now boasts a global presence while focusing on producing high-tech and sustainable solutions.

ZAGO self-sealing fasteners with O-rings and self-sealing switch boots effectively shield toxins from leaking in or out into the surroundings and can withstand the harshest of temperatures, weather conditions and pressures, according to the company. Its clients span the world and include major military contractors, Apple, Google, Ferrari, BOSE, Lockheed Martin, HP and others.

In 2019, the company launched ZAGO Sustainability 360. The social impact initiative provides education and skills-based training to staff members who strive for continuous improvement and career advancement as well as to stakeholders in the local community.

Rottenstrich also serves on the National Advisory Board of the NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership as well as on the boards of the New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program, New Jersey Business & Industry Association, Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan New Jersey and other organizations. Additionally, she was elected mayor of Fair Lawn in March 2024, following her original election to the town council in 2017.
