DeCotiis is a managing partner at DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole & Giblin LLP, where he leads the firm’s executive committee and is responsible for building its growth strategies. He is also chair of the firm’s Government and Regulatory Affairs Practice group.
DeCotiis’ practice primarily centers on governmental representation, specializing in public procurement, redevelopment law, and authority representation in both general and special counsel roles. As such, his appointments have included serving as general counsel to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, and GC to Bergen Community College.
In his work with public-private partnerships, DeCotiis provided services in water and wastewater privatization, redevelopment of former industrial sites and more. DeCotiis has also applied knowledge from his substantial involvement in highly regulated industries to guide cannabis clients through legal, regulatory and business challenges.
Beyond his firm responsibilities, DeCotiis co-founded Dearheart Charitable Foundation Inc., which assists cancer patients undergoing treatment and recovery.
