A leading voice in the state for life sciences and innovation, Hart has led BioNJ since its inception in 1994.
The organization represents more than 400 research-based life sciences organizations across the ecosystem from the largest biopharmaceutical companies to early-stage supports. In New Jersey, the sector supports more than 116,000 jobs across more than 5,600 establishments – and has raised $4.1 billion in venture capital investments from 2019 to 2023.
Hart is a strong advocate for the sector and the broader business and innovation community – overseeing a series of notable events throughout the calendar year, including BioNJ’s recent 32nd Annual Dinner Meeting & Innovation Celebration and the upcoming 15th Annual BioPartnering Conference.
She also serves as the chair of the New Jersey Commission on Science, Innovation, and Technology.
In an Op-Ed for NJBIZ earlier this month, Hart stressed the need for M&A to drive the biopharma industry, and warning of recent federal policy in recent years that restricts and discourages procompetitive M&A and partnerships.
