In 2018, Cantor founded the New Jersey State Veterans Chamber of Commerce and serves as the organization’s CEO – with a goal to improve the economic environment for veterans in the state.
The Veterans Chamber also aims to build the infrastructure to create greater competitiveness and success for veteran business entities.
Cantor served in the military for more than three decades – and has spent his life serving the country and fighting for the underdog. That has included starting multiple businesses and working in industries that have had an impact on the lives of others. His areas of focus are economic development, health care, mental health and resilience, helping to solve complex problems, and public and private contracting.
An example of Cantor’s efforts can be found in the disparity study released last year that examined disparities in public contracting.
“Since the disparity study came out, we created the Diverse Business Advisory Council – because as you can see from the disparity study, all the disparaged groups did not get their fair share of contracts in the State of New Jersey,” said Cantor at a Senate committee hearing.
