As president of Nokia Bell Labs Solutions Research, Klein leads a storied institution, poised to begin its next chapter here in New Jersey.
Celebrating a century of cutting-edge research in 2025, Nokia Bell Labs will leave its digs in Murray Hill to join the rising HELIX in New Brunswick—a sweeping endorsement of not just the development, but of the transformation it perpetuates in and for the Middlesex County seat, as well as the innovation ecosystem more largely in the Garden State.
Plans call for the company to move into the 10-story, 350,000-square-foot facility by the beginning of 2028.
Klein’s global, multi-disciplinary team conducts fundamental and applied research focused on new value chains, business opportunities and ecosystems. The segment pursues research and innovation into advanced technologies, architecture, systems and applications.
In April, Klein represented Nokia Bell Labs during the inaugural NJ AI Summit at Princeton University.
“Given that we’re at the beginning of the journey, there’s really no reason why New Jersey cannot lead in this journey,” he said during the event.
